In the Evolution category, the jury honours Gabriel Maher’s (Eindhoven) comprehensive work on gender identity in design
Jury Statement: “Gabriel Maher focuses on gender (identity) in design, an issue that is still widely neglected. Uncompromisingly and consistently, Maher combines various presentation formats and moves between the different fields of design. Maher’s work stands out by virtue of methodology, as well as by the visual and verbal forms of presentation. Maher provides a significant contribution to raising awareness of and publicising gender-sensitive design. With the iphi 2019, the jury recognises Maher’s multi-disciplinary projects: an outstanding example of comprehensive and wide-ranging work in gender design.”
