We are very happy to start our series of video statements about gender, design, the present and future situation. The iphiGenia Gender Design Award 2020 #iphi2020 was postponed due to Covid-19. Instead, the international Gender Design Network / iGDN is offering space for video statements and interviews by former iphi winners and renowned design experts / members of the iphi Research Committee international.
Prof. Dr. em. Uta Brandes is a German design expert, theoretician and author. She is co-founder of the international Gender Design Network/iGDN and the chair of iGDN Germany. From 1995 to 2015 she was Professor of Gender and Design and Design Research at the Koeln International School of Design
started her career as marketing and communication manager in the fashion business. Since 1995 she is Managing Director of Iosa Ghini Associates, an internationally known architecture and design company. She works in Bologna and Milan, and lives in Bologna.
Dr. Kajsa G. Eriksson
is a Professor of Visual Art with specialization in Forms of Visual Art at the HDK-Valand Academy of Art and Design, Gothenburg University, Sweden. She holds a PhD in Design and runs the independent collaborative arts-based research studio Vague Research Studios.

Miles Min Chen
multi-disciplinary designer; he designs from objects to technological products and interior architecture. He works for both Chinese and Western companies. He studied in Cologne, Germany, Eindhoven, The Netherlands, and Milan, Italy. He lives and works in Hangzhou, China.
famous design critic and blogger, author of design books, renowned speaker shares her view on genderdesign. Alice Rawsthorn supports the iGDN and the #iphi being a member of the international Research Committee RCi. She lives in London.
Dr. Seba Ali
